The Local Scene Music Store was founded in February 2006 by musicians and industry personnel.

The Local Scene Podcast and advertising network has followed the success of many artists and will continue to promote artists through many media outlets, including Television and Radio as well as continuing to gain a stronger online audience by developing technology that will ultimately network producers, studios, managers, promoters, venues and artists through a series of digital and real world solutions tailored for the Australian Local Scene.We will also be investing into bands nationwide through record companies and our flag ship label Binary Media.

The Local Scene is hoping to break new ground in the way artists and bands do business  by creating and sustaining a model that through an artists  regular promotion our systems will generate much needed income to record their next Album, Market themselves, tour nationally and internationally or just have a disposable income without ever having the need for a traditional record company. This is a pardigm shift and we hope to be a leader in its execution and an ally to those thinking outside the box. A strong enforcer of a new industry where the artist is self sufficient and financial.

Our realisation of this goal is paramount by the dedicated individuals part of The Local Scene entity. We will be striving to bridge the awareness that great bands exist locally, in every state and territory of Australia, and by forming strategic alliances with service providers we will directly link great Australian artists directly to its public with the least amount of manufacturing and the most amount of promotion.

Download free gigs from our Podcasts and check out which bands you like before downloading their music. We will be adding hundreds of artists in the coming months.
